Nothng particularly shocking about this, but I often give my "what do you do" answer for a new possible lover, as something like "I'm a fictional character, sci-fi psychic and spiritual romance. That's my job, but what else would you like to know about me?"

Neale Sourna and Romantic Lies: I’d completely blocked this one out of my mind but here it is. My future guy, now my present guy’s ex lied to him when we first met and told him I was a married man’s mistress. We almost didn’t get together because of it, but many valentines and sweetest days and anniversaries later, my story’s now better than hers.
